Chocolate chip coffee cake {food}

One of my all time favorite recipes has to be this chocolate chip sour cream coffee cake. This sweet cake would be perfect for Easter brunch or any special occasion. Every now and then I will bake this up for my kids when they are off school and they absolutely love it!

Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake

Cream together
1/4 C butter (room temp)
3/4 C sugar

2 eggs
1 C Sour Cream
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 C all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
Mix until combined, then add 1 bag of mini semi sweet chocolate chips. (Mini chips work best, because they won't sink to the bottom of the cake)
Pour into greased 8" square pan

Cinnamon Sugar Topping
1/2 C sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Mix together then pour on top of cake batter to cover.

Place cake in preheated 350 degree oven for approximately 30 minutes. Cake should be golden brown and when toothpick is inserted in center of cake, should come out clean.
Serve warm or at room temp.
